As part of the official program of the 12th International Conference “Working on Safety” (WOS 2024), held from September 22–25 at the DGUV Congress in Dresden, Lucie Kocůrková from the Technical University of Ostrava and Ulrike Bollmann from DGUV organized a workshop on the challenges faced by teachers and trainers in the digital age. They were supported by Nelson Bruno Martins Marques Costa from the University of Minho.

SC Meeting Zagreb

The 18th ENETOSH Steering Committee Meeting took place on 4 June as a side event to the EUROPEAN FORUM Conference 2024 ’Be fit for the digital age!’ in Zagreb.
The meeting was attended by 41 participants from 17 countries worldwide on site and online. Representatives from international organisations such as the ILO, the ISSA and ISHCCO, as well as from the ETUCE, were also taking part in the meeting. Of the 14 members of the Steering Committee, eleven representatives including the chair Vinka Longin Peš, Croatian Health Insurance Fund and the co-chair Hülya Ünver, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Türkiye, were present.

On the 23th of November 42 participants from 24 countries attended an informative and inspiring online seminar on „Promoting the wellbeing of teachers in a ‘smart‘ school“. With this event ENETOSH contributed to the new campaign of EU-OSHA on „Safe and healthy work in the digital age 2023 – 2025“. The aim of the seminar was to emphasise the importance of teacher health and safety for the quality of education in the digital age, making it an important topic in current research and on the political agenda, thereby promoting good working conditions for a healthy and safe integration of digital technology in schools.

ISSA ENETOSH network meeting

This meeting, organized jointly by the ISSA Section Education and Training for Prevention and the European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH) took place in the scope of the A+A Congress in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 26 October, 2023. Experts from 8 different countries presented and discussed various aspects of OSH education in schools.

The joint event of OSHAfrica and ENETOSH "Higher education as the key to training the next generation of safety and health professionals in Europe and Africa", moderated by Ehi Iden, OSHAfrica and Dr Ulrike Bollmann, ENETOSH, was held in the scope of the A+A Congress in Düsseldorf, Germany, on 25 October, 2023.
The dialogue between two representatives each of renowned universities from Europe and Africa at the A+A Congress 2023 in Düsseldorf was a success.

On 14 September 2023 the ENETOSH Steering Committee met again, this time in a virtual format. 10 members of the committee, the web editor and a representative of EU-OSHA participated in the meeting.
After a warm welcome by Vinka Longin Peš, Croatian Health Insurance Fund (chair of the committee) and Hülya Ünver, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Türkiye (co-Chair), an intensive discussion started on key-issues of the current work and the future of ENETOSH.

27th Network Meeting ENETOSH

Location: EU-OSHA, Bilbao, Spain

More than 40 participants from more than 25 countries, on site and online, attended this hybrid network meeting of ENETOSH on the 27th April, 2023, in Bilbao, Spain, hosted by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). Main focus of the event was, besides the work of ENETOSH, the upcoming EU-OSHA campaign, integration of the SDGs into the educational system, and more.

On 26 April, ENETOSH made an important contribution to the 2023 ORP Congress, which was attended by more than 1,200 delegates in Bilbao and over 7,300 participants online.
During the opening of the Congress, ENETOSH President Dr Ulrike Bollmann (photo ©FIORP) gave a statement in the "International Strategy session: The Future of Prevention", on why mainstreaming OSH into education is so important for the future of prevention. ENETOSH then organised a very innovative session on "Sustainable Prevention".
