We find ourselves in a field of tension created by developments in artificial intelligence (AI).
This state of tension can be turned into a human-centered work design. This can be achieved by using the potential of AI for better quality, precision and reliability, and not taking work away from people, but rather making better use of their individual skills. People and AI together stand for high-performance companies and improved working and living conditions.
With innovative methods at the interface between AI development and AI use and validation of practical pilot applications in the healthcare industry and medium-sized industrial companies, we show ways to transform the world of work. Through new forms of work organization, we create the conditions for future-oriented technology to become reliable through consistent involvement of people and thus be able to develop its potential. These are the prerequisites for economic efficiency and acceptance.
