The GeoLibrary is a project of the Network of Collaborating Centres Work Plan in support of the WHO strategy of “Occupational Health for All.” The responsibility for constructing the library was undertaken by the Great Lakes Centers for Occupational and Environmental Safety and Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago school of Public Health. Additionally, the Great Lakes Centers added the, “environmental health,” branch to the library to address the training needs of environmental health users, and the Specialty: Road Safety at Work branch was added in collaboration with NIOSH in order to provide materials related to the prevention of road traffic injuries and deaths while at work
