This report summarizes the results of an investigation into the links between companies' work environment efforts and occupational accidents carried out for the Norwegian Working Environment Authority. This context is illustrated by the questionnaire survey 'Virksomhedernes arbejdsmiljøssatsats' and coupled with register information on reported occupational accidents at Statistics Denmark. The Norwegian Working Environment Authority's purpose in starting this work has been to find out whether the VAI questionnaire survey could be used as a basis for the future monitoring of the companies' work environment efforts. The report has identified relevant indicators for the companies' work environment efforts and subsequently investigated the correlation of these indicators with occupational accidents.
