SOLVE programme
SOLVE is an interactive educational programme by the International Labour Organization, designed to assist in the development of policy and initiatives to address health-related issues in the workplace. It focuses on prevention by integrating health promotion into occupational safety and health (OSH) policies and initiatives at the enterprise level. It is concerned with with the prevention of work-related stressors (work-place stress and economic stressors), alcohol and drug abuse, violence (physical and psychological), and the prevention of HIV/AIDS. It also promotes tobacco-free workplaces and healthy lifestyles, including good eating, sleeping and exercise habits.
The International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO), in conjunction with LABADMIN/OSH (the ILO department responsible for OSH), is organizing this training activity to further the dissemination and sustainability of the SOLVE programme by involving tripartite constituent organizations, United Nations programmes and projects, training institutions and other intermediate civil society organizations in its delivery.
