Impact Report of The Center for Public Health Workforce Development within the Rutgers School of Public Health.
The Center offers a wide range of courses, webinars and conferences on public health. The School of Public Health’s mission is advancing health and wellbeing and preventing disease and engaging collaboratively with communities and populations through training, continuing education and technical assistance. The programs impact communities in New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, and around the globe.
Over 9,800 individuals participated in the programs, providing over 43,000 contact hours of training. Training on some of the most difficult issues facing the workforce has been provided, including occupational safety and health topics, reaching disproportionately impacted communities, and connecting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities to community living resources.
