Institute of Prevention and Development (IPD)
By recognizing the importance of wellbeing, especially through the context of aging due to the increase of the life expectancy, it can be regarded as a crucial factor for the development and cohesion of societies. In that terms, the Institute develops research and is capable of providing innovative solutions that facilitate the growth of healthy entrepreneurship and promote employment in a health environment. In order to achieve this goal, IPD adopts an anthropocentric approach and cooperates with social, academic and business partners from all over the world, aiming at producing and transferring know-how, promoting entrepreneurial culture and enhancing the effectiveness and viability of enterprises.
One of IPD’s core competences is the promotion of safety culture in every aspect of everyday life and especially in the workplace. Personal development through coaching and mentoring can further blend with scientific expertise to support this vision.
The activities of IPD are based on the premise that enterprises and particularly Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are the backbone of European economies and therefore constitute a significant factor in the attempt to reduce unemployment and lead to a wider social prosperity.
Areas of excellence are:
