In 2021 it was expanded to include "Treasure hunt - school in sight". In a three-year model phase (2010 - 2013), the low-threshold and practical prevention program "Treasure Hunt" was developed by the HAG. Since then, it has been implemented in eleven other federal states with the support of various cooperation partners (Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), AOK Nordost).
After further training for the educators and with the support of a media package, the prevention program can be carried out in the day-care centers. In the free meetings, parents go on a “treasure hunt” with the daycare teachers as guides for their children’s individual strengths and protective factors and are supported in educational issues relating to child development and their children’s mental health. In addition to a sponsored exchange between the participating parents, six stations are passed through: The treasure hunt begins - start together; Searching for traces - understanding the development of children; a box full of feelings - what feelings say; in wind and weather - dispute and solution; Guide - everyday life and family rituals; big and small treasures - offers of support, outlook and conclusion. Since the beginning of 2021, the program has been expanded to include "Treasure Hunt - School in Sight" and now also offers daycare centers and preschools support for the transition from daycare to primary school.
