The Wiener Neustadt Labour Inspectorate was able to persuade the engineering college HTL Wiener Neustadt to offer a course for safety representatives. The training was completed by fourth-grade students (16 male and one female), most of them from the electrotechnical division. The location of the three-day course was the Academy for Safety and Health Protection of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labour, which also funded the event. The lectures were given by specialists of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labour, the Mödling Occupational Health Centre and the Wiener Neustadt Labour Inspectorate. Upon completion, the students received a certificate confirming their participation in the safety representative training.
