Health behavior and the stress management skills of educational professionals play an important role model for the students' learning process. Where school leaders succeed in building cooperation, acceptance and appreciation and involving many parents, the school will be a healthy place to live and work for everyone involved.
The state program “Good Healthy Schools” extends over a period of five years and includes the following development areas:
• Healthy eating and nutrition education,
• Coping with stress,
• Designing school as a living space
• social interaction,
• health through exercise,
• Health through addiction prevention.
The Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family has commissioned teachers in each region and for the vocational schools as coordinators for school prevention, to advise the school management and steering groups of the schools in the districts and to support them together with the cooperation partners of the Berlin health insurance companies and associations.
