Young people have the opportunity to acquire professional skills and occupational safety and health knowledge during their studies. The knowledge acquired is general and is useful for working in their chosen speciality and in similar enterprises. OSH specialists provide the initial instruction and introductory training of new workers. Special attention is paid to young workers as many of them lack previous work experience. After that, a three months period of theoretical and practical training begins under the mentoring of experienced colleagues. At the end of the study course, employees need to pass an assessment to verify how well they have acquired the knowledge in their speciality and in the field of workplace health and safety. There are also additional lectures and seminars and an information day is organised, where employees receive a handbook and material especially prepared for them.
