The "Play Safe ... Stay Safe" campaign has been set up to explain the dangers of treating quarries as playgrounds. Teachers and Youth Leaders are partners in the campaign. A wide variety of resources help them communicate to young people the real dangers of quarry. Furthermore it is possible to realize a supervised visit or get in touch with local quarry operation and speak to the manager. The measures reference to two different groups: - Play safe : focus on young children from around five to 14 years - Stay Safe: is designed for teenagers, who are the most likely age group to be injured or killed in quarries.
