Since health is an integral part of peoples’ quality of life, the interest in promoting health in schools has always been a high priority in the Ministry’s list of activities. The Ministry of Education and Culture in Cyprus (MOEC) supports health education and citizenship activities in schools. For this purpose the MOEC created a “Health and Citizenship Education Committee” consisting of representatives from different departments of the Ministry of Education and Culture, representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Cyprus Anti-drug Council.
