The sun is an important health factor because it helps the body to form vitamin D, ensures a healthy sleep-wake cycle and regulates our body temperature. It gives energy and puts you in a good mood. However, the sun also has a dark side: too much UV radiation damages the skin and eyes, usually unnoticed. Children are particularly at risk. This poster explains the health risks of the sun, especially for children, and gives helpful tips on how to deal with this topic in childcare facilities.
