A European project to the demographic change
Best Agers is a project in which older professionals worktogether with different age groups in the fields of business and skills development to generate new ideas and share their expertise and experience. Best Agers is part-financed by the European Union Baltic Sea Region Pro- gramme 2007-2013 (Priority 1 - Fostering of innovations across the Baltic Sea Region). Nineteen partner institutions from eight countries around the Baltic Sea launched this project: Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden. With demographic change - recently defined as one of the four key challenges for European regions by the EC - and the current economic crisis looming, the cities and regions of the BSR have to find creative ways of disclosing and utilizing unused opportunities. Project duration: January 2010 - December 2012.
