A sobering conclusion: every year 25,000 apprentices in Switzerland have accidents while working. In addition, one in five trainees is injured during their free time. One of the main reasons is that young people have less experience and are less able to assess risks. In order to enable learners to have a safe apprenticeship, every adult employee should be a role model. The young people also need the assurance that they can say STOP at any time if they are unsure.
