Asif Masiuddin works for Abu Dhabi Airports Co., in the capacity of Coordinator Technical Support with Engineering Department, Planning & Development. Abu Dhabi Airports was formed in 2006 to manage and operate Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Sir Bani Yas Island Airport and Delma Island Airport, along with a group of companies with diversified activities that are essential to the growth of the aviation industry in the UAE. Abu Dhabi Airports is a public joint-stock company, wholly owned by the Abu Dhabi Government and plays an important role in the Government of Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030.
Of course, occupational safety and health and environmental issues play a big role in this field of business. Since 2006, Abu Dhabi Airports has been receiving numerous prestigious awards from prominent international and local organizations in acknowledgement of its operational excellence, as well as marketing, training and corporate responsibility initiatives. In 2013, Abu Dhabi Airports' Operations Division, including- Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain International Airport and Al Bateen Executive Airport, received ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) Certifications across their airport operations activities.
