Within the programme “School of the Third Millennium” secures mastering the basic skills and habits influencing active health – i.e. helps them to understand the importance of health and life, acquired the principles of a healthy lifestyle, to learn to decide and act properly in favour of their own and others’ health.

In relation to this the programme makes prompt efforts to have as many opportunities to:

• get inside into the most important circles of the (cognitive, aesthetical, moral, civil values, the advantages of family life, the world of work, nature and health)
• understand the significance of them on a given examples.

The school

• enables the pupils to adapt to the changed or new working conditions,
• attempts a positive approach to work results (quality, quantity, and also health and environment protection),
• teaches the pupils to plan and organise their activities,
• motivates the pupils to be involved actively into the World of work,
• leads pupils to career choice, provides career advising. Teaches work instruction subjects both in mandatory and facultative sections of the curriculum,
• has worked out a whole-school plan for career choice,
• provides guidance to students who require advice about career choices,
• leads the pupils in compliance with safety rules.

Personal and social competencies are also developed. The pupils gain capabilities to cooperate and respect others’ work. Time management work versus rest and planning are paid attention to.
